  1. Very low, those are entry level computer specs 5 years ago... and roughly at the same level as the play station 2... im expecting probably twice those requirements for min/med settings running at hopefully 20+fps during intense scenes of play

  2. why do you want higher requirements its already enough i dont want to pay another dime for another upgrade...

  3. ....nobody wants higher requirements....

but its plain logic, those specs could barley play diablo 2 for crist sake... MY OLD LAPTOP has better specs than that rofl.

  5. i agree with your moms pimp if you were playing d2 with min req you would never be able to play online im thinking more like
    2.4 core duo
    2gb ram
    512 mb video
and you might scratch 20 fps

  6. Because If the game can run on that , it means it really sucks ,it almost takes higher requirements just to watch the trailers on blizzard.net

  7. Are all of you morons on crack? D2 can run under Win95 with half less than half those specs. You only need more that if you are hacking and playing online. I have personal played this game online with barely above avg specs and the only thing that showed its lack of power was my dial internet.

    LOD requiremens:
(on the case the disk comes in)
    Win 2000, XP, ME, 98, 95 Nt 4.0 SP5
    Pentium 233 or higher
64 MB ram, 800mb hard drive room, D2 obviously
    4x Cd rom
direct x compatible vid card with 8MB ram for optional 3D acceleration

Now granted these are min requirements. But for some one to say you need close to 8x the power to play a 10 year old game is just retarded. I know Crisis is demanding even with top of the line stuff, but that is in a league of its own. D2 doesn't and never will demand that much power.

Now with that said. I'm relieved that the specs are so low because it means Blizzard spent more time in making the game a good game, with a good story and features that more people can play, and sacrificed some of the pretty stuff. Besides the Diablo series isn't a first person game that requires crazy amounts of detail because most it isn't seem right up close. It's all from a birds eye view. Why both putting a super intricate design on your armor when you probably wont every see it.

and for the curious like I was.
    PS2 specs
    300MHZ cpu
    32mb system ram
    4mb vid ram
But remember is a specialized gaming console.

  9. I realy think that your gonna need atleast a 1GB GFX card. I sure as hell don't want to play D3 at minimum requirements....lol

  10. hey how about for diablo 3 what settings to do i have 2.13 ghz 512 mb and 4gb ram

  11. as if anyone would think you need a fucking 1 gb vid card are you stupid it will not be that much of a demanding game and yes d2 runs in a crap comp but d 3 looks alright and no to watch trailers they are in hd so if you do not have a hd vid card it would go slower use like low res or whatever or watch it on youtube

  12. What a bunch of newbies. It's all about "who got the biggest specs". Well on this game your wrong! If your like recommending the 512mb or 1GB video card with a 2.4 core duo or more and a 2gb ram.. That's simply overkill and the same time stupid.. Blizzard Entertainment do high graphic games on a low end PC.

Too bad the graphic on D2 screws up on win7.

  16. diablo 3 is not running without grapics card..grapcs card is the main parts and requirements of the game..if your pc have a build in ghpcs card,it should be higher..xp and vista it is the requirements of the game..windos 7..its not clear to run a game that os..

  17. Stupid peoples looks like you don't get it it's going to be MMO diablo 2 was made for single play in first play so req is way bigger for it....

  18. Yur all ranting like a pack a' budgies on acid....The simple truth of the matter is ...it isn't about making a game with a mad visual appearance and spectacular effects for only a handful of people with high-end pc's. This is about pure economics. Build a game that looks and preforms fly... but everyone can play...that is how blizzard stays in business. I don't hear of too many people upgrading systems...let alone buying new laptops just for one game. Naw...the specs may be a little higher than their old best guess before completion..but the higher they get...the more of the market they will lose from the multitudes that can't run it...and that means money...and bliz likes the green. Charging for WOW proved that ...hehe...so all this chatter is gas out the ass...and I'm outta here before someone strikes a match and this whole forum flash fries... hehee :D

    i got a amd phenom 6 core 1055 TT @ 2.80gighertz

4 gigabyte of ram at 1333mhz

1 gigabyte of graphics ati radeon hd 5770

    1 terabyte hardrive

  21. Key guys, i'm ordering a new laptop soon with the following specs

i7 intel quad core processor (max turbo speed 3.3Ghz)

8 GB of hyperx dual channel 1600mHz ram

AMD Radeon HD 6990m 2GB graphics card and a nice 17" with 1920x1080 screen.

    I'm really scared that it wont run D3!! D;

  22. I agree...Blizzard makes games worth playing for. Nowadays, there are numerous pc games that requires high end computer specs to play, but most of them are crappy ones. They lack solid storyline, boring to play, and often gives the player in a bad mood for the crappy endings. Probably that's the reason why they are still holding the release of diablo 3, they want to make it run to the average pc and probably come up with a breakthrough software engine that will enable most of the average pc to play diablo 3. Besides...Blizzard's not going to follow trends, they're going to create new trends in pc gaming.

  23. Hi there! Just for the heck of it, i thought i would spark a slight suggestion to the problem all of you seem to be facing - Diablo III System requirements. Think about this for a second. Diablo III videos have been running around the web for quite a while now and it all looks pretty nice. But let's face it, it isn't really The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim we are talking about here. My opinion?

    Recommended system requirements:
1.6Ghz dual core (If multicore is even necessary)
    1 GB RAM
5 - 8 GB Free HDD space (Since these are all 3D models, textures parented to their respective models, higher quality sound, game cinematics and a whole lot more that Diablo II didn't yet have technological access to.)
512MB Graphics card memory with perhaps shader 3 support.

Thats my opinion on the requirements area of range on the highly anticipated Diablo III. I may be wrong though, but compared to everything being released recently in 2011, it would be a shame if Diablo couldn't compare in the least of graphic attraction (Especially because the game release has been postponed far too long and 1 time too often)

  24. System stats look accurate but I would suggest that Blizzard highly underestimated minimum system requirements for RAM. My Windows 7 uses almost 2gb with no processes running so I would suggest a minimum of 2.5 gb RAM would be much more accurate and still truly a minimum.
